my first mex-chili atack

Eng:yesterday, i had my first horrible mexican chili atack!!! and i survive it!!!!!!!!!!

.......10 segundos despues........

here we go!!! empezo horrible chilazo en mis labios, lengua, toda la boca estaba ardiendo!!!

exploring lunchtime

Eng:Wednesday 21st October, 1pm...

It's lunchtime!!!!!!!

I went out from office and it was so nice autumn day so i decided to walk down till the port with my lunchbox which i get at the asian lunch delivery van around the corner.

Eng:this is my lunch!! 3 types of east asian curry above rice and tom-yam soup for 7dls.

I think autumn is the best season for picnic here in japan. Less rainy day, no damn pollen allergy, clear sky, no heat...

Very nice lunch break!!

bear dancing bear

last friday i went to a little opening party of the gallery called "gm ten" located around Azabu Juban station, Tokyo.

The gallery runs by a design production called "gm project"
and one of the owner is husband of my best buddy Kiyorachan.

gm project used to be "graf media gm", which was the art and music project of graf.

The first exhibition of gm ten is of Nene Tsuboi, currently Helsinki based japanese artist, its flyer above.

The video below is how the opening party was...
There was a little live performance of Tuomas Toivonen, from Giant Robot. And then, from who knows where, shows up this cute bear dancing!!!
It was exact the same bear as it appears in one of the Nene's video work...

there will be a different dimension

from 28 to 30 september, i went to Oze, the highland area located between Gunma, Niigata and Fukushima prefecture.

Oze is one of the most popular spot for light hiking and climbing amoung young people last few years, just as much as Mt. Fuji and Yakushima Island. It's famous for the moorland vegetation area where most of the people just hike. But my friend Kiyora and I decided to climb one of the mountains there called "Hiuchigatake", not just hiking.

We took the bus from Shinjuku leaving 10pm and arriving Oze at 3:30am(!!!) which is the cheaper option. Obviously we slept all the way right after we took on the bus and we just shut off all our senses until the bus left us at the entrance of hiking course.

(waiting at shinjuku largest ( i think) long distance bus station, with middle age hiking tribe very anxious for their bus.)

(just before falling deep into my internal world.)

It was just darkness, of course, at 3:30am, far away from city lights.
And suddenly, cold.

There were two people more who get off the bus with us.

Kiyora and i decided to wait there until getting bit more clear.
We brought our breakfast which we bought at convenience store before we took on the bus.
So we took out our gas and pot to warm up water for our morning tea, and voila!!!

Waiting about 40 min, at last it was getting clear little by little so we started to walking.

We had planned our course roughly on the map. First, as we planned, we went on walking until arrive at Ozenuma pond, which supposed to take an hour and half.

It was foggy and moist morning. We saw every trees and leafs were just getting beautiful autum color, and more we step into the forest more we felt like if we were some little elves.

Therefore all Oze area never be short of water, we found little stream with very clear water everywhere so we could supply delicious water anytime we want.

Just after an hour and half as we calculated, we appear out of woods to Ozenuma pond. Before we arrived it started raining a bit like shower so we decided to rest and make our plan again at one of the lodge.

we brought with us many chocolates and candies and dried fruits.

The weather was bit suspicious so we couldn't decide yet if we should climb the Hiuchigatake mountain or not because the map says there are lot of rocks and quite craggy all the way up to the top, so it might be slippery

my office

this is my office/factory.

or better to say, this is my room and i just work at my PC desk and above my bed...
i wish i can have my little workspace somewhere else but also the truth is if i had my workspace out of my room i would have been lazy to go here...

this is my bed half invaded by mambo and quatchi and panda and so on...
i also work here sometime.

sunny saturday afternoon

today i stayed at home all day.
it was very nice autumn day so i enjoyed my home and garden very much.

For me, to stay at my home is very relaxing time.
I love traveling anywhere in the world and also go out and hung out everywhere.
But i love my house and my neighborhood where i was born and grown, as much as traveling or hung around.

When i am home, most of the time i work on my art stuffs while listening my favorite music or movies which is my favorite things to do.

Today i played little bit with my new company Olympus PEN.
All the photos below i took with "toy camera mode".
i have lot of things to try and play with my camera yet.

foggy tokyo lunch time

2 or 3 times a week, i work at a little office in Hamamatsucho (sacred spot of salaryman- those boaring/stressed looked business man all wearing black/gray business suites, and oyaji- those middle age stressed-stinky buddy) Tokyo.

But the amazing thing at the oyaji's sacred spot is, with 10 dls enough you can get quite satisfactory lunch time. There are thousands of little restaurants and izakaya(bar-restaurant at night) offering lunch-time menu, from around 11am to 2 or 3pm. I will report my lonely lunchtime here sometime.

this was my lunch today. heheheheeee!!!
A Domburi ( bowl of rice with some Tempura, grilled eel, barbecued meet, deep-fried pork etc above) with half grilled salmon and ikura (salmon egg)!!!!! These lunch tray sometimes called "teishoku" always served with some salad and miso soup.
it was only 9dls/\900.

mmm yam yam...

my office is just very close to Tokyo tower. it was so foggy today, i can't see the top.

this is big billboard of the Hollywood star Tommy Lee Jones advertising canned coffee named "Boss". He is "alien Jones" in that series of TV commercial, supposed to be sent to planet earth to investigate about human being and experience and report how the human being live. you can see some of them below. it's just funny.

I have exhibited my latest work at an exhibition organized by Kanagawa prefecture government, at a gallery near by Yamashita Park, in Yokohama harbor.

The exhibition is opened for any artists who lives/borns/works/studys in Kanagawa. It was competition style so only selected works are exhibited. There are also some prizes and the biggest prize is about 20,000dls!!!!

Sadly i couldn't win any prize, but at least i got a little place to exhibit my work for about 2 weeks, which is nice.

I would try again next year....

yeah!! i wanna get the prize!!!!!! hehehehe...

my latest movie wishlist

Since last July when i went to San Francisco with Nosy and Enano, i've got various movies that i really want to see!!!

The sad thing is... i think many of them are not gonna be released in japan...

Fantastic Mr. Fox

Since i am proud of being a great fun of Wes Anderson, I should be in NY on 25th November to be one of the first person to see this movie with some Anderson family costumes!!

Where the wild things are

When i was a little kid "where the wild things are" was one of my favorite book. Me and my neighborhood friends liked to play if we were "the wild things". And it was just last year when i re-discovery this book and some goods as t-shirts and toys at urbanoutfitter's shop!!
And this year i re-encountered with these wild things in the latest movie of one of my favorite director Spike Jonze with one of my favorite song from my favorite group Arcade Fire!!!!! This is like a dream came true!!!!!
I can't wait to see this movie and meet again some my childhood friends!!!!

500 days of summer

I love Zooey Deschanel...!!!!

Peper Heart

Actually i think this is the movie that i most expect to see this year (for now).

Year one

It was our last day at San Francisco when this movie released on 19th July, but we couldn't go to theater 'cause, you know, there are always too much things to do on the last day of trip...

Anyway, I think we are in the era of commedy. I feel like i've only see this kind of commedy this year.

Life should be fun right?

Observe and Report

Definitively Seth Rogen's movies are "the dopest dope ever" as he said in one of his movies, but his movies themselves are such addictive...

Yes, I am addicted!!!

Funny People

Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, and Jason Schwartzman all together in the same screen?!?!?! No waaaaaaayyyyy!!!!! They want to kill me with laugh or something!!!!!

today's shopping

I've been lazy for these days on my blog, but i'm back again!!!

In the morning i went to the gallery in Yokohama, where i'm going to exhibit my latest art work from wednesday, and i did some last modification on it.

And later i went to Asakusabashi, very close to Akihabara, with my friend Kiyora to get some stuffs for hair accessories which i'm making with fabrics from used clothes. Around Asakusabashi there are a lot of shops which sell parts for craft making, like bottons, ribbons, pieces of leather, chains, beads, chiffons, artificial flowers, clays etc, and you can buy them for bigger unit per item (and cheaper) than normal shops.

These are the stuffs that i bought today...

And this photo below is some of the hair accessories that i'm making.

During the shopping, we stopped at this restaurant to have lunch.

This is my lunch. It was pasta but it came with ohashi, chopsticks...!! hahaha... So i ate my pasta like my obaachan, my grandma!!

sliding on the river

Last sunday, i went to river down on canoe with my dad. We have our own canoe at a camp ground neighboring River Nakagawa, in Gozenyama village, Ibaraki prefecture, about 2 hours north from Tokyo metropolitan area, by car.

This is me and one of our boat that i always use.

I should have took this opportunity to presume my brand new bright green helmet that i just bought in San Francisco for skateboarding, but i just forgot bring that... mmm

This is my dad.

Some staffs of the camp ground always give us a ride to our start point, loading a ban with kayaks and us.

This day they took us to the 25kms pint.

These are our snacks on the way going down the flow!!!

This small local appears almost the last part of our 25kms voyage and we always look forward to stop here to enjoy this delicious treat from river.

These river-fish called "ayu" ( i think in english "sweetfish"), this is before they convert in our snacks...

This is how local people fish "ayu".
"ayu" fishing is only allowed at summer season so we saw many of these wooden boat with local fishermans.
These fish can only live in very clean water, so it makes me feel little bit relieved to see these people fishing because it says that "ayu" can still stay in this river...

It was cloudy day with little shower sometimes but it was perfect condition on this hot summer season.

As living in a metropolitan concrete jungle, it's a wonderful break time to breathe deep in green mountains and trees everywhere, discovering birds coming and going, splashing along flows of the river, tasting fresh air of nature.
