there will be a different dimension

from 28 to 30 september, i went to Oze, the highland area located between Gunma, Niigata and Fukushima prefecture.

Oze is one of the most popular spot for light hiking and climbing amoung young people last few years, just as much as Mt. Fuji and Yakushima Island. It's famous for the moorland vegetation area where most of the people just hike. But my friend Kiyora and I decided to climb one of the mountains there called "Hiuchigatake", not just hiking.

We took the bus from Shinjuku leaving 10pm and arriving Oze at 3:30am(!!!) which is the cheaper option. Obviously we slept all the way right after we took on the bus and we just shut off all our senses until the bus left us at the entrance of hiking course.

(waiting at shinjuku largest ( i think) long distance bus station, with middle age hiking tribe very anxious for their bus.)

(just before falling deep into my internal world.)

It was just darkness, of course, at 3:30am, far away from city lights.
And suddenly, cold.

There were two people more who get off the bus with us.

Kiyora and i decided to wait there until getting bit more clear.
We brought our breakfast which we bought at convenience store before we took on the bus.
So we took out our gas and pot to warm up water for our morning tea, and voila!!!

Waiting about 40 min, at last it was getting clear little by little so we started to walking.

We had planned our course roughly on the map. First, as we planned, we went on walking until arrive at Ozenuma pond, which supposed to take an hour and half.

It was foggy and moist morning. We saw every trees and leafs were just getting beautiful autum color, and more we step into the forest more we felt like if we were some little elves.

Therefore all Oze area never be short of water, we found little stream with very clear water everywhere so we could supply delicious water anytime we want.

Just after an hour and half as we calculated, we appear out of woods to Ozenuma pond. Before we arrived it started raining a bit like shower so we decided to rest and make our plan again at one of the lodge.

we brought with us many chocolates and candies and dried fruits.

The weather was bit suspicious so we couldn't decide yet if we should climb the Hiuchigatake mountain or not because the map says there are lot of rocks and quite craggy all the way up to the top, so it might be slippery
